Polka Dot Valentine

Photo Credit Christa Elyce Photography for All Ze Details

This Valentine's Day choose a cute short set to throw on for the day and take it to night by adding heels. If you have a black short set like the Alice & Olivia short set pair it with red heels or a red clutch for pop of color. Don't hesitate to add bright pink or bright red lipstick. If you're in the states, it's super cold. No problem, add on a jacket or cute little accessorized gloves that are unexpected. For something incredibly gorgeous add on a longer coat - past the knees -- possibly a red coat over a solid black short set. Nothing says sexy like showing your legs in an unexpected way for Valentine's Day. Try it out and if you're having trouble pairing your Valentine's Day look comment below with an added photo of what you're needing help with or visit the All Ze Details Facebook page. If you do not want to splurge and need me to create something in your own wardrobe, and just want to purchase a new pair of earrings -- no problem! I'll create a Valentine's Day look unique to you and your style. Contact All Ze Details on the comments below or on the All Ze Details Facebook page.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Valentine's Day Style

"Think pink. Think pink when you shop for summer clothes. Think pink. Think pink; if you want that quelque chose. Red is dead; blue is through; green's obscene; brown's taboo. And there is not the slightest excuse for plum or puce or chartreuse. Think pink. Forget that Dior says black and rust. Think pink. Who cares if the new look has no bust? Now, I wouldn't presume to tell a woman what a woman ought to think, but tell her if she's got to think: think pink."
Valentine's Day is the perfect time to remember the opening lyrics of "Funny Face," starring Audrey Hepburn. I was thinking pink for my Valentine's Day wardrobe. And red. Although "red is dead" in Funny Face - it's alive and well for Valentine's Day.
Sandra Bullock combined the two main colors of Valentine's Day at the 2014 Palm Springs International Film Festival, wearing the Alex Perry "Pearla" dress from the Cruise 2013 collection. The combination was beautiful.

This year, the holiday of love falls on a Friday. It gets tricky when Valentine's Day falls on a weekday when you have to go from desk to dinner. But you can do it.

With these look ideas, you can rock the professional look with reds and pinks and change it up fast when you are rushing from work to your dinner date or a night out with the girls.

6:30 a.m. - You are off to work and you don't have time to do up your hair, and get it date ready. No worries. Pack a curling iron, a pair of heels, loud and or fun accessories, some red or pink lipstick and perfume - throw it all in a cute weekender bag to bring to work with you.

To work, wear a blazer and flats with your cocktail dress to make it work appropriate. Make sure your cocktail dress hits at the middle of your knees or lower.

If you are feeling uncomfortable about it, pair your dress with a black blazer, black tights and flats in a neutral color.

Noon - After grabbing a bite to eat, touch up your makeup, and if you have time, curl your hair - refresh so you are not scrambling after work to start from zero. You'll at least have your hair and makeup taken care of. Touch up with mascara and lip gloss.

5 p.m. - The work day is officially over. Before leaving work, lose the flats, touch up your makeup with red or pink lipstick and top off with lip gloss. If your hair lost its curl - touch up. Throw on your heels, accessories and lose the black tights.

Opt for dresses with pink or red detail. Great heels always make the outfit; remember that.

A great button up and pants can also pass off as a dressy look. If you can find a fiery orange, hot pink or cherry red button up, pair it with an opposite color of pants. For instance, if you choose a cherry red button up, pair it with hot pink pants.

Take Sandra Bullock's Alex Perry dress for inspiration on how to work the look, and rock the color combo.

London Fashion Week | Day 4 at CJ Yao

London Fashion Week has been one of the hardest fashion weeks to dress for thus far. In between queuing in the rain to wait for the next runway show in BFC Space (your hair turns into frizz, or the hairspray doesn't work after getting wet from the rain), fighting the cold outside - only to turn around to be sweating like mad on the tube, and debating on if you should wear your heels or not - never to see them again after they've lost the fight with the cobblestone roads and uneven sidewalks.

Running around in boots on Day 4 helped me keep up with the pace of the shows running around London from presentation, to show, to event. Wearing heels are much more comfortable for me, but suede gets ruined in the rain, leather heels that come to a point at the toe get completely ruined from the cobblestone, and don't get me started on what happens to the actual heel. Boots were necessary by the end of the week. I felt like I lost my mates in battle as I lost one pair, two pair, three pairs of heels and had enough casualties for the week.

London Fashion Week was hard to dress for, by Day 4 of LFW I opted for a long sleeved ribbed dress to pair with an over-sized scarf (which I love), and ankle boots. After running around show-to-show, and ruining most of my heels - I took to a pair of boots. I belted over the scarf with a thicker belt to also help keep the scarf in place. I love these boots and picked them out at Nordstrom because of the layered metal wear around the ankle, and black matches with everything in my wardrobe.

For this functional London outfit I have linked all of the information below for similar pieces, and the exact pieces if wanting to put together this exact outfit.
These street style shots were snapped after the C.J. Yao show at Freemason's by Muffadal Abbas, a London based photographer.

Dresses are easy to throw on and to easy to take from work to weekend by simply adding in new accessories and layering with other apparel to transition easily into colder seasons.

A cocktail dress that is a little longer in length pairs perfectly with a jacket for work. For a corporate look pair it with a structured solid jacket. For the weekend,  or for colder seasons pair your cocktail dress with a fun jacket that plays with the structure of the dress. This dress has peplum detail and is backless so a Peter Pilotto jacket was added that plays with the structured peplum detailing on the dress, and it is belted which adds to the peplum detail.

A simple, structured black dress can be used for various events; Wear it as a wedding guest, on vacation, a honeymoon getaway, date night or a night out with the girls or co-workers. This is also perfect for prom, and can be accessorized to create a formal look. Black dresses can be accessorized with any color of accessories or shoes.

This is the perfect transitional dress, the Cindy Dress from Fame & Partners - easily transitioned from season to season and perfect for various events. Change out shoes & accessories to get various looks out of this dress.

I put together a race day ready look with a beautiful and unique fascinator from Perth designer Reny Kestel. You can shop her collection, online, here
