All Ze Details | Fall Looks Diary

Photos by Griot Photo for All Ze Details

Fall is such a wonderful time, and for us Texans it is a time of celebration, to celebrate the cooler weather; A time to open our windows and let the cool air in, a time to look forward to with upcoming holidays, vacations, and FOOD - er, I mean a time to be thankful. But all together - it's time to celebrate fashion. Ways to layer in pieces we've not yet used in our wardrobes, a time to celebrate outfits that consist of more than one-or-two pieces and a time to pull out those booties! I have so many fall shoes to share with you guys that I am crazy about.

More than ever, I love celebrating local talents here in Houston, especially local designers. This necklace is from a Houston designer who does creative pieces, and I will list her below in the All Ze Details call-out listings below. I truly love layering necklaces, but in this case this one spoke to me as a singlet for this particular outfit.

I have been a Miu Miu fan for years, and this bag makes its way into my fall wardrobe. I love the pop of color and the raceway chic appeal that this bag has. And I tied it in with a tribal cardigan that graces the floor, I'm petite so I'm so ecstatic that it fits me perfectly in length. I paired it with a half faux leather, half cotton paneled top underneath, there is a very similar top to shop here

These booties have already been my go-to for fall, being petite I love the height and I absolutely love how comfortable they are. Did I mention they're on sale now for under $40? I would snag some before they sell out, they're a great addition to have for your fall wardrobe. Snag a pair here

I LOVE these leggings, they are faux leather in the front, and cotton in the back with detailed zipper pockets up top. The waist is a comfortable cotton band, they are no longer in stock at Cotton On, but here is a similar pair

This is one of my go-to outfits for fall, and I hope that you guys love it, too!

Happy Fall y'all!

Twenty Five

This post is labeled Twenty Five due to the twenty five photos of my favorite jumpsuit, which is not in anyway related to Hurricane Harvey to keep my mind off of what we are currently experiencing here in Houston. Also labeled Twenty Five for the 25 links for a quick Hurricane Harvey guide and ways you can currently help my city at this time. Scroll up for pictures, scroll down to help, or for links that you may need at this time.

So what does a jumpsuit have to do with Hurricane Harvey? Nothing, absolutely nothing. Except for the fact that I am trapped in while it is flooding outside and we can not leave our home. We are up high, dry - have food and water and compared to my other Houstonians, quite lucky and blessed and not one thing to complain about while being trapped inside for the past 4 days while it is still pouring rain outside. Desperate to get my mind off of what I'm seeing on the news around my city I focus on my favorite jumpsuit.

And I feel completely helpless sitting inside, waiting.
I want to be out rescuing animals, and lending a helping hand or donating items that other's need around the city. So instead, I compiled a list of how to help, incase you are in the same exact situation as me.

How to help this week in Houston:
We are surrounded with devastation in the city I grew up in, and now more than ever our fellow Houstonians need us. I have always volunteered with local animal shelters in Houston and will always support our local shelters with a helping hand during times like this - so first and foremost I will add links to our animal shelters taking donations and adding what donations they may be seeking for their shelters. Our city is suffering from Hurricane Harvey with mass flooding; How beautiful is it to see how much Houstonians have stepped up to help each other out, also our neighbors that have come into the city to help us? I am praying for Texas, and adding additional content to this blog post to help guide others to various ways to help Houston, and surrounding areas in south Texas.

“Texas, I love you. #HoustonStrong.” -Ellen Degeneres

I would like to say, first and foremost, that if you have become separated from your furry family member to check with all Houston animal shelters first.
Consider checking in with the animal shelters below, not all are listed in the Houston area, but this may be a good start! Also consider volunteering, fostering, or donating to the shelters/non-profits below. Please note, that I have not listed every shelter in the south Texas region, but there are plenty of others in the south Texas region that truly need your help at this time. Please research your local shelters.

1. The Houston SPCA
"Due to expected impact from Hurricane Harvey we are temporarily suspending program services until further notice including appointments, adoptions, education and client care. Rescues, investigations and care of our animals will continue. Please call 713-869-7722 for assistance."
The Houston SPCA has a Wish List posted online of items that they need at their shelter - which is always posted online for their animal shelter but truly needed even more so, at this time. If you are in the Houston area and would be willing to temporarily home an animal from the Houston SPCA you can sign up to be a foster parent here
View more on their instagram feed of how the Houston SPCA is helping animals during Hurricane Harvey.

2. SPCA of Texas (different than the SPCA listed above)
The SPCA of Texas is providing disaster relief to animals affected by Hurricane Harvey. You can donate to them directly here or donate supplies via their Amazon In-Kind supplies here. If you would like to go a step further and foster, for anyone located in the North Texas area to help animals that are in the shelter that need a temporary place to stay you can sign up here

3. Houston Humane Society
4. BARC | HOUSTON
5. K-9 Angels Rescue
6. Friends For Life
7. Austin Pets Alive!
8. Bryan Animal Center

South Texas Animal Shelters + Animal Control
There are too many south Texas animal shelters, and animal control centers spanning across south Texas and many of them need our help. If you have a local animal shelter that is needing help, and needing eyes to come across an announcement for donations, dog food, and other monetary items please leave a comment on this blog post.

9. Wharton Animal Control
This animal shelter is in desperate need of help. The shelter has been displaced due to flooding. They are in desperate need of fosters, and other help for this shelter. Here is the link to their to Facebook Page. Seeking donations, and help from anyone that can provide help for the animals at their shelter.

10. Airbnb, Urgent Accomodations
The most beautiful thing is happening right now, people across Texas are offering spaces in non-flood zone areas for evacuees escaping flood zones from Hurricane Harvey - for free, and out of the goodness of their hearts. You can participate by offering a free room, or free space -- or you can find a space, should you need urgent accommodations. This is Texas, y'all. The best way I can describe it - we open our homes, and our hearts to one-another. I am so proud of my state. "All fees are waived for those affected by the disaster and checking in between August 23, 2017 and September 25, 2017." -Airbnb

11. Houston Food Bank
Gwyneth Paltrow posted earlier on her instagram, "Houston, we will do what we can from far away, but please know you are in our prayers (just donated). She quoted beside a shot of the Houston Food Bank. You can donate to the Houston Food Bank as well, here. They do wonderful things for our city, especially during this time. Really cool to see people all over the country helping our home.

12. 13 Places of Shelter, Houston
News station ABC13 listed 13 places for safe shelter around the Houston area for those affected by Hurricane Harvey. You can find them here

If you are looking to drop off donations, please drop off donations behind George R. Brown at Hall B, they are in desperate need of the following:

The American Red Cross is helping with Hurricane Harvey, you can text HARVEY to 90999 to make a $10 donation. You can also visit their website here

16. Texas Patches by Adam Grason
During this time it is beautiful to see how everyone around the USA is pulling together to support Texas. I came across this image tonight from @adamgrason that I follow on Instagram. I love Disney, and unique designs. Together with @thedispatchco and @themermaidharp their beautiful Disney inspired designs are raising funds for Texas for those affected by Hurricane Harvey. I may have to get one of these to keep a momento that no matter what we are going through in Houston - we are all here together, pulling through. I love the sunshine, Disney/Mickey Mouse, and heart on the shape of Texas - all of my favorite things that make me incredibly happy, something good to think about while my family and I are trapped in the flooding.

17. JJ Watt Flood Relief Fund
You can donate to JJ Watt's Flood Relief Fund here. The fund has already surpassed $1M in funds, which is absolutely incredible. Thank you for caring for our city as much as you do, JJ!

18. Feeding Texas
A complete list of Texas Food Banks for Hurricane Harvey to donate to here

19. Texas Diaper Bank
I have only just become familiar with Texas Diaper Bank during Hurricane Harvey; Texas Diaper Bank donates diapers to babies and seniors. I am unsure if you can only donate via online, or if you can donate actual packaged diapers as well? Here is their website

20. Map of Flooded Streets, via the Houston Chronicle
The Houston Chronicle compiled a map of flooded streets. This is incredibly useful if you are seeking to get out of your home in Houston to either drop off donations, or seek shelter elsewhere. Incredibly useful to see if it is safe to evacuate, and what routes to take.

21. Texas Hurricane Center
For additional information the Texas Hurricane Center is a useful tool, from the office of Texas Governor, Gregg Abbott.

22. Boats Needed for Rescues
The announcement went out two days ago from the Harris County Sheriff's Office via Twitter looking for anyone available that can help assist with "high-water, safe boat or vehicle please coordinate with the @hcfmo 713-881-3100 Call to help with rescues." (Posted from August 27, via Twitter). The announcement was posted here

23. The Companies Donating to Hurricane Harvey
It just warmed my heart to read about these companies donating so much, to helping to fund relief efforts for Hurricane Harvey. While you shop on Amazon, you can opt to donate to the Red Cross through Amazon for a Hurricane Harvey relief fund.

24. Texas Forever Tees, Magnolia Market
I have loved browsing Magnolia Market and just noticed on their site that the Texas Forever Tee proceeds (ALL proceeds, 100%) go to Hurricane Harvey disaster relief efforts. You can purchase yours here

Denim Dreams

The perfect way to perfect effortless style that encapsulates the best of summer style, yet perfects an easy transition into fall is that of fairy-tales; until you find a piece like this. Beautiful topped with a leather jacket and ankle booties for fall, this piece will be seen again in my wardrobe.

Look no further, this denim jumpsuit is the go-to denim piece this fall. No a jumpsuit person? Nor was I, and this piece put my jumpsuit doubts to rest. The zipper on the side, and the buttons at the neck make this easy to throw on and the denim is light-weight for our Texas-style fall. The denim is soft, and perfect for petites. I opted for the 00P and it is perfect in length.

This is perfect for travel, weekend - and as pictured at the resort for a weekend-ready look. I paired it with my favorite accessories this season, which are linked below. This piece is just.

I took this piece along with me for a relaxing weekend in the hill country, perfect for the heat at this resort and spa, in which I will be detailing in a future post - but wanted to share this easy and effortless outfit - first and foremost.

More details, All Ze Details, below on how I styled the look for the weekend.
The necklace I used as a belt, listed below; Tag #AllZeDetails if you use it as a belt after this post, and this post inspired you to do the same. I would love to see! As a Stylist, I love this necklace as a belt.

This post was no way endorsed, and opinions are all my own.
These pieces were picked and pulled for my personal wardrobe.
